Overview

Address gaps in resource accreditation to incentivize resources to be available during times of need.

This issue is inclusive of the 2020 RASC High Priorities and IMM State-of-the-Market Recommendations::

  • More effective outage rate accreditation
  • Create accreditation which incents desired performance
  • Forward capacity accreditation for renewable (IR095) and use-limited (IR096) resources
  • Seasonal/monthly outage modeling
  • Expand the use of diversity contracts
  • Solar capacity credit
  • Hybrid capacity accreditation
  • IMM 2017-7
  • IMM 2018-5

 This issue was identified in 2018 as a Phase 2 issue of Resource Availability and Need (IR025) and was redefined ahead of the 2021 Integrated Roadmap Work Plan prioritization in an effort to further break out RAN projects.
