As part of its emergency preparedness procedures, the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is actively monitoring the ongoing development of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) with information and guidance from federal, state, and local health agencies. Our top priorities are the health and well-being of our employees and stakeholders and the reliability of the bulk electric system.
MISO will continue to limit visitor access to our facilities through the remainder of the year. This means that stakeholder meetings will continue via conference call and WebEx only including the Board of Directors and the Advisory Committee meetings scheduled for June. The quarterly Board of Directors and Advisory Committee meetings set for September and December are still under review at this time. MISO may elect to hold other stakeholder meetings at off-site locations if conditions improve sufficiently and our stakeholders are in a position to participate in-person.
We will continue to monitor developments and implement additional protocols as necessary to minimize risk to the MISO community. Information will be provided as it becomes available on this site and Twitter.
