End Use Sector Feedback Regarding Proposed Changes to
Section 104 of the Stakeholder Governance Guide
Following the February 13 meeting of the Stakeholder Governance Working Group (SGWG), Stakeholders were invited to submit feedback on proposed edits to the Stakeholder Governance Guide Advisory Committee Rotating Agenda Section 104.1. The End Use Sector appreciates the opportunity to provide feedback regarding the proposed redlined changes that clarify the Advisory Committee’s Agenda development and clarifies the role of the Rotating Agenda Team (RAT).
The End Use Sector supports the redlined changes to the current Section 104 related to Advisory Committee Agenda Development. Compared to the current guidelines, the proposed changes clarify that (a) Stakeholder Relations will provide to RAT a draft agenda based on the items within the Management Plan for that meeting instead of utilizing “a list of issues gathering from various sources” and (b) the RAT is to review the draft agenda to ensure consistency with the Management Plan and sufficient time allotment to each Agenda item. Further, the proposed changes provide guidance on resolving instances where there is disagreement regarding an agenda item, or the draft agenda item cannot accommodate every item on the Management Plan.
Overall, the End Use Sector believes that the proposed changes are necessary to clarify the Advisory Committee Agenda development process and appropriately limits RAT’s role from taking on additional responsibilities or decisional authority unless directed by the full Advisory Committee. The End Use Sector therefore recommends that the proposed changes be adopted.
