At MISO, we are dedicated to corporate citizenship and believe that our employees can work together to make a positive impact on our communities.  That is why MISO is proud to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. MISO employees have donated over $1 million dollars and granted more than 100 wishes since 2007.  Through fundraising and volunteering, MISO strives to make a difference in the lives of Wish kids and their families.

Full-time employees may also invest pre-tax dollars in flexible spending accounts or a health savings account to minimize the tax burden and help manage healthcare and dependent care expenses.


Life, Disability & Supplemental Benefits

MISO offers employees peace of mind and helps protect you and your family in case of the unexpected. Full-time employees qualify for:

  • No-cost basic life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance
  • Voluntary Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance plans for you and your spouse and children
  • Short-term disability coverage at 100 percent of employee’s salary for up to 90 days and long-term disability coverage at a percentage of employee’s salary, both of which are 100 percent employer paid

Employee Assistance Program

MISO understands that sometimes you need a little extra help to navigate difficult circumstances in life. Our Employee Assistance Program offers free, confidential counseling and resources related to life issues, such as grief and loss, divorce, depression, stress, parenting, childcare, drug or alcohol abuse and more.


Time Off & Leave

Nothing helps balance your personal and work lives like time away from the office. We provide full-time employees with the following paid time off benefits beginning on day one:

Family and Medical leave

In the event you need to take leave for yourself or family, you may be eligible for up to 12 weeks of leave during a 12-month period. The leave may be paid, unpaid or a combination of paid and unpaid leave depending on the circumstances of the leave and as specified in the policy.
