Todd Ramey serves as vice president and executive for MISO’s Market System Enhancement program. Ramey is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic investments designed to meet the needs of MISO’s customers in the future.
Previously, Ramey was responsible for MISO’s real-time operations, including day-to-day transmission and generation dispatch.
Earlier in his MISO tenure, Ramey played a central role in the development and launch of MISO’s energy markets in 2005 and ancillary services in 2009, and then led efforts to continuously improve those markets and their operations. He also led MISO stakeholder activities related to market design and function, securing stakeholder support of many market enhancements.
Ramey joined MISO in 2001 from the Indianapolis Power & Light Co., where he served as director, Power Marketing & Generation System Operations. Ramey has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of wholesale market design, wholesale market administration, and generation and transmission system operations.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Butler University.
