Every MISO employee plays an important role in maintaining reliable and effective transmission of power to our customers. Whether they are managing our efficient and transparent energy market or determining strategic ways to meet tomorrow’s demand, our employees know that their work brings value to our organization, our members and stakeholders, and even to business and household power consumers. We are an independent, non-profit organization that fairly and objectively maintains reliable transmission of power throughout 15 states and the Canadian province of Manitoba.

We offer a suite of investment and retirement plans to help you build a secure financial future. Full-time employees are automatically enrolled in our 401k plan and immediately qualify for our profit sharing plan, which enables MISO to contribute to employees’ retirement accounts.

Full-time employees may also invest pre-payroll tax dollars into flexible spending accounts or a health savings account to minimize your tax burden and help manage healthcare and dependent care expenses.

  • Short-term disability coverage at 100 percent of employee’s salary for up to 90 days and long-term disability coverage at a percentage of employee’s salary, both of which are 100 percent employer paid.   • Travel insurance for those who travel on company business
