Each officer and executive team member brings varying backgrounds and experiences to MISO's leadership. Their quarterly collaboration on strategic plans, including periodic touch points, keeps MISO committed to its cornerstones and aligned with expectations of stakeholders and MISO's Board of Directors.

 

John Bear

John R. Bear, President and Chief Executive Officer
Serving as president and chief executive officer since January 2009, Mr. Bear leads MISO's efforts to create added value for all customers through reliable market operations that meet the region’s resource adequacy needs, expand transmission planning activities and foster innovation in the exploration of the region’s demand response and energy efficiency capabilities.

Jennifer Curran

David Boyd, Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs
As a leader in MISO's External Affairs division, Mr. Boyd serves as the liaison to governors, state regulatory authorities and legislative policy makers in the MISO footprint. In addition, Mr. Boyd monitors and integrates federal regulatory and legislative activities into MISO's policies.

Melissa Brown Melissa Brown, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Brown serves as MISO's Chief Financial Officer. She is responsible for MISO's Finance Division, including enterprise resource planning, accounting, supply management and financial and portfolio management and analysis. 
Jennifer Curran

Jennifer Curran, Vice President, Systems Planning & Seams Coordination
Ms. Curran oversees MISO’s regional transmission planning responsibilities including all regional transmission organization functions related to providing an independent, regional  transmission plan and processes that meet federal and state energy goals.

 

Richard Doying

Richard Doying, Executive Vice President, Operations
Mr. Doying shares executive leadership of the office of Chief Operating Officer, responsible for MISO's reliability and market operations, market development and analysis, and market and corporate application support. Additional responsibilities include finance, corporate services, human resources, and new member integration.

Joe Gardner

Joseph J. Gardner, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Gardner is responsible for management of the Compliance Services Department and has compliance oversight of the Company’s Tariff and FERC compliance, NERC and NAESB standards compliance, and corporate compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. 

Keri Glitch Keri Glitch, Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer
Keri Glitch was named vice president and chief information security officer for Midcontinent Independent System Operator Inc. in May 2017. She serves concurrently as MISO’s senior manager for Critical Infrastructure Protection.
John Goode, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer
As the leader of the Information Technology division, Mr. Goode is responsible for MISO's IT strategy, execution and operations.  John oversees over 200 employees responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency and effectiveness  of all systems used by employees, customers, and stakeholders including our markets and reliable bulk electric systems.
Todd Hillman

Todd Hillman, Vice President, South Region Executive
Mr. Hillman leads MISO's South region Operations. In his role as Vice President of MISO South Todd oversees a staff dedicated to providing excellence in customer service, outreach and coordination in MISO's newly integrated South region. Todd's expertise and leadership in customer management and project coordination have shown in the launch of the energy and ancillary services markets and the South Region Integration.

Steve Kozey Stephen G. Kozey, Senior Vice President and Secretary
Mr. Kozey is responsible for MISO's compliance and internal audit activities. He also oversees MISO's strategic communications and stakeholder affairs. His expertise includes electricity trading and marketing; state and federal electric utility rate and regulatory matters; mediation; mergers and acquisitions; and antitrust litigation.
Clair Moeller Clair J. Moeller, Executive Vice President, Operations
In his responsibilities for transmission planning and information technology, Mr. Moeller continues to gain respect as an industry expert on innovations in regional planning. He also oversees the integration of thousands of megawatts of renewable generation, primarily wind, into the MISO footprint.

Andre T. Porter, Vice President and General Counsel 
As the organization’s chief legal officer, Mr. Porter oversees MISO's law department and is responsible for the organization’s legal affairs, strategy, and representation before federal and state regulatory bodies.  He joined MISO in 2016.

Greg Powell Greg Powell, Vice President, Human Resources
In addition to his commitment to employee development, Mr. Powell oversees all workforce practices, including recruiting, retention, succession planning, diversity, management, employee development and training, compensation strategies, culture management and organizational structure.

Todd Ramey, Vice President, System Operations
Mr. Ramey is responsible for ensuring that the regional grid is operated in an efficient and reliable manner. Additionally, he oversees all of MISO's market development and analysis activities. Todd also leads stakeholder activities related to market design and function, securing stakeholder support of many market enhancements.

Wayne Schug, Vice President, Strategy and Business Development
Mr. Schug is responsible for coordinating MISO’s ongoing strategy in support of the company’s continuing Value Proposition.  In addition to corporate strategy, Mr. Schug is responsible for business development, risk management and executive leadership support.
